Pony Camp Fees
Four days and Three nights at IEA pony camp.
The fee is R1200.00 for sleep over campers and R900.00 for day campers. Sleep over fee covers all accommodation, meals and refreshments. Day outings, practical ridden and theory lessons. Show class entries, golf shirt, notes, certificate, prizes, rosettes and trophies.
Children will be under 24 hours supervision by qualified instructors.
We offer you the opportunity to drag your children away from technology for a few days keeping them busy during the school holidays with fun and informative out door activities.
Pony Camps
From first time riders to experienced rider we cater to all children who love horses and ponies and want to learn more about them.
Fun in the sun, come join us for an informative camp in the country side, learning about horses.
We arrange outings to various educational and charitable horse related organisations.
Children learn team building and leadership skills as well as working together in groups.

What your child will learn at pony camp:
* feeding & taking care of a horse
* tacking up, cleaning tack and correct terminology
* grooming & platting (main & tail)
* working in groups and making new friends
* the pupils will learn team building & leadership skills.
* riding lessons, gymkhana games & other ridden exercises.
Use our school ponies or bring your ponies or horses and their necessities and they will stay for free.
Fee covers all accommodation, meals & refreshments, outings, practical, ridden & theory lessons, show class entries, shirt, notes & certificate. We hold a prize giving where ‘most improved pony camper’ and other prizes are handed out as well as rosettes for winning individuals and teams.

Easter Pony Camp 6 April - 8 April
School Holiday Pony Camp
Fun in the sun, come join us for a fun camp out in the country side learning about horses.
3 days of fun at the IEA, riding, learning and enjoying the farm life.
What your child will learn at pony camp:
* feeding & taking care of a horse
* tacking up, cleaning tack and correct terminology
* grooming & platting (main & tail)
* working in groups and making new friends
* how to ride a horse
Day 1: Camp starts at 7.30 am
Horse care unit:
* Pupils will learn the value of charity work and how important it is to
help animals in distress
Day 2:
A picnic at the horse races: Trip to the Vaal Race Course
* learning about the life as a jockey, meeting a lady and gentlemen jockey
* learning about the life of a race horse trainer & assistant trainer
* observing the loading of horses at the pens
What they will learn before and after outings at the IEA yard with instructors:
* the pupil will learn team building and leadership skills.
* the children will learn to perform various tasks according to age and experience.
* riding may include lessons,gymkhana games, practising a dressage test,
*show jumping course, utility test or equitation test.
Day 3: Show day at the IEA yard with instructors:
Mom and Dad can come join in the fun and take photo’s of the kids at the pony camp show
which is held on the last day of pony camp. (Instructors will take photo’s of the event so no
need to worry if you cant make it). We hold a prize giving where ‘most improved pony
camper’ and other prizes are handed out as well as rosettes for winning individuals and
teams.

throughout the day. Accommodation either in tents (instructors will camp out with children)
or in the outside housing with instructor. Children will be under 24 hour supervision by 2
instructors. I have my first aid level 1 as well as my SANEF teaching qualifications.
